Reuters quoted Russia government said the country will reintroduce a 5% duty on some automotive steel imports in January.
A statement on the customs department Website said the December 3rd decree will go into effect one month after it is published in the government gazette.
Russia dropped the 5% import duty on certain steel products used in the auto industry earlier this year to help domestic manufacturers during the economic downturn.
