In a extraordinary meeting last week, the supervisory board of Salzgitter AG has unanimously appointed Prof Dr Heinz Jörg Fuhrmann as the Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG for the period from July 1st 2011 to June 30th 2016.
Prof Dr Fuhrmann will take up the position as successor to Prof Dr Wolfgang Leese, who will retire from this post as from June 2011.
To date, Prof Dr Fuhrmann (53) has headed finances as well as the Group’s Technology Division. He has been active as Vice Chairman since December 2007.
