Kiefer will oversee sales operations for Procast Guss GmbH in Gütersloh and Nortorf, as well as the new facility in Abadiño, Spain. His primary responsibilities include acquiring new clients across Europe and enhancing relationships with existing ones. Furthermore, he will work on integrating the sales functions of different locations to better harness synergies within the Group and expand the product range for the benefit of customers. The Procast Group also includes Procast Handform GmbH, based in Kiel, which specialises in casting weights up to 55 tons.
“Its multiple locations will allow Procast Guss to operate with greater flexibility in the market,” Robert Kiefer points out. “The Spanish location also opens the door to further international market opportunities. As a foundry company, this positions us well to expand our global business.” He intends to focus more on the transport, energy, and food industries as key future markets. Currently, Procast produces components for generators, agricultural equipment, and rail transport. Their clients include renowned companies like CLAAS, AGCO, ZF Friedrichshafen, and Caterpillar.
Robert Kiefer brings over 20 years of experience in the foundry sector and has worked for various international foundry groups in France, Finland, Turkey, and Sweden. Most recently, he was the Chief Sales Officer at the Gienanth Group where he was responsible for the sales strategy of six European locations.
