India - TAGMA’s Diemould Trade Fairs to Appear Annually

Reading time: min

The chief die and mould industry group in India, the Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA) headquartered in Mumbai, has organized the Diemould India International Exhibition (DMI) since 1998. Through 2010, the trade fair was a biennial affair, but henceforward TAGMA will offer the event annually, at alternating locations.

Specifically, the group will schedule Diemould India in Mumbai in even years, beginning in 2012, and as a regional show in other Indian industrial cities in odd-numbered years beginning in 2011. The previous three editions of the exposition were held in Chennai (in 2006), Bangalore (2008) and Mumbai (2010).

DMI has grown steadily to become the largest exhibition for the industry in India. In 2010, the fair spread over 20,000 m2 and had exhibitors from more than two dozen countries. It showed significant growth in exhibitor and visitors numbers and in exhibition area despite the intervening global economic downturn.

The TAGMA Executive Council, after study of visitor feedback this year, decided to brand the present series of even-year DMI exhibitions as an event to be held permanently in Mumbai owing to its central location and status as the financial capital of India. Then, to meet growing popular demand and market needs in other regions of the country, the association will organize regional DMI shows in odd-numbered years.

The next DMI, Diemould India South 2011, will take place at the Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai this coming April 7–10. As always, this fair will cover the exhibitors’ latest offerings from every area of the tooling industry. Chennai is distinguished as a manufacturing hub for automobiles and other industrial products.

The 8th biennial Diemould India International Exhibition will be held in Goregaon, Mumbai, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, April 19–22, 2012.
