With the official signing of a contract with the Scottish Company GAP Alba now complete, Erdwich has designed and will supply and install the new Refrigerator Recycling Plant at GAP Alba’s premises on the award winning Binn Eco Park in Glenfarg, Perth, Scotland.

The plant technology exceeds the current quality and emission standards of CENELEC, and WEEELABEX. The plant has a treatment capacity of up to 100 refrigerators (containing VHC and/or VFC cooling and blowing agents) per hour.
The main machine components will be Erdwich’s robust, and easy to maintain Ripper and Hammer Mill combination followed by the steam operated Degassing Vessels for safe and perfect decontamination of PUR-Foam from any blowing gases.

Delivery of the first components will start in September 2024. It is expected that the plant construction will be complete to allow processing of material early 2025.
ERDWICH is particularly pleased that thanks to the monumental refrigerator plant in Scotland, the world is being freed from an enormous amount of electronic waste and the fridge devices can be 100% recycled.
