DIHAG Group steps in - The Gienanth iron foundry in Eisenberg is moving forward

After intensive negotiations, the Gienanth foundry has found a buyer: the DiHAG Group from Saxony is now the new owner of the traditional iron foundry.

The Gienanth company from Eisenberg in the Donnersberg district has been through turbulent times. Due to insolvency, 100 jobs recently had to be cut. However, a buyer has now been found for the Eisenberg site, as announced by Gienanth's insolvency consultant. The purchase agreements with the new owner, the DiHAG Group, have already been signed.

DiHAG Group acquires Gienanth foundry in Eisenberg

In its search for an investor, Gienanth has found what it was looking for in the DiHAG Group. The purchase agreements for the Eisenberg site were signed this week, according to a spokesperson for Gienanth's insolvency consultants. This is good news, especially for the employees at the Eisenberg site.

The jobs in Eisenberg are secure

The management of Gienanth confirmed that the jobs of the 530 employees in Eisenberg in the Donnersberg district are secure. According to Gienanth Managing Directors Torsten Stein and Stephan Vrublovsky, the takeover of the DiHAG Group means that the entire workforce can be retained.

In addition to the Eisenberg site, the DiHAG Group is also taking over the Gienanth site in Kulmbach, Bavaria. "It was particularly important to us to preserve the jobs at both sites and make them future-proof," explained Stein and Vrublovsky.
