August Mössner GmbH + Co KG announces a significant change in its management.
Franz Sachsenmaier, who has been Managing Director of August Mössner GmbH + Co KG since 1990, has ended his position as Managing Director on June 30, 2024 after more than three decades of successful company management. During this time, Sachsenmaier has significantly shaped and further developed the Mössner company.
He will remain associated with Mössner as a shareholder and consultant.
Under Mr. Sachsenmaier's leadership, Mössner has developed from a company originally specializing in band sawing machines into a leading international supplier in the fields of foundry, aluminium and automation technology.
In the 1980s, Mössner carried out pioneering development work in the field of CNC-controlled contour saws. Between 1985 and 1987, a programmable CNC contour saw for aluminum castings was developed. This CNC saw was an absolute novelty on the world market and marked Mössner's entry into CNC technology and contour sawing using band saws. At the same time, the company established itself as a leading provider of machining using industrial robots and entered the US and then the Chinese market in 1990. In 2005, a joint venture was founded in Beijing, followed by a subsidiary in Kunshan. A subsidiary was also founded in Mexico in 2022.
Mössner's innovative technologies are used in the dismantling of nuclear power plants, among other things. The company is now the global market leader in the field of large sawing systems for aluminum ingots. For the automotive sector, Mössner supplies highly automated systems for the production of aluminum castings such as chassis parts and components for electric vehicles.

The generational change was already initiated in 2022 when Christian Kunz and Marco Schulz joined the management team. Since July 1, 2022, the Mössner management team has consisted of Franz Sachsenmaier, Christian Kunz and Marco Schulz.
