On July 1, 2024, Andrea Carta succeeded Ulrich Bühlmann as Managing Director of the Particle Foam and Foundry Machines division at Kurtz GmbH & Co. KG. As a member of the Global Board and Kurtz Holding Managing Director, he is also responsible for the global activities of the Business Unit “Moulding Machines”.
Ulrich Bühlmann, who has worked for the Kurtz Ersa Group since January 2023, has set an important strategic course with his extensive expertise and commitment. He has succeeded in stabilizing the Moulding Machines division and in developing a positive forward strategy for the Particle Foam and Foundry Machines divisions. The forecasts for 2024 are good in the context of the global economic crisis. On June 30, 2024, Ulrich Bühlmann stepped down from the management of Kurtz GmbH & Co. KG and Kurtz Holding GmbH & Co. Beteiligungs KG as agreed from the outset. He was appointed Interim Managing Director from July 01, 2023. The Kurtz Ersa Group would like to thank Ulrich Bühlmann for his outstanding commitment over the past one and a half years. Thanks to his hands-on mentality and international background, he has achieved tangible successes in a very short time, including the establishment of effective new quality standards. With his great assertiveness, he gained the trust of our customers.
Andrea Carta, who succeeds him as Managing Director responsible for the Business Unit Moulding Machines with all its companies, has an impressive track record. He has been working in a global environment for decades and will contribute his extensive expertise in the development of international markets to the Global Board. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in International Business Management and extensive experience in the automotive and mechanical engineering industry, he is ideally equipped to take on the future challenges at Kurtz Ersa and to continue the success story. He gained his extensive international experience in leading positions at companies such as Arburg, the Norma Group, Accenture, and CMG. With Andrea Carta, the Kurtz Ersa Group is gaining an excellent strategist who knows how to work in a practical and goal-oriented manner thanks to his many years of experience in family businesses. He is also regarded as a sales professional with great negotiating skills and customer orientation and a strong sense for improving business processes. He also attaches great importance to teamwork and constructive cooperation in line with Kurtz Ersa´s values.
